About Emma Brooks

Emma Brooks is a certified art educator with over 12 years of experience teaching visual arts to children ages 3 through 14. She holds a B.F.A. in Art Education from the School of Visual Arts and a graduate certificate in Child Development from Bank Street College of Education.

Emma spent eight years as a lead art teacher at a progressive elementary school in Portland, Oregon, where she developed curricula that integrated coloring activities with social-emotional learning. She has written for national parenting publications and presented at NAEA (National Art Education Association) conferences on the therapeutic benefits of coloring for children.

As Content Director at Top Coloring Pages, Emma combines her classroom experience with evidence-based research to create guides that help parents, teachers, and caregivers make the most of coloring time. When she is not writing, she is testing new coloring supplies with her two kids or leading community art workshops at the local library.
